About The Kendall Bug Mission, Inc.
The Kendall Bug Mission, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit dedicated to preventing childhood drowning through water safety education, access to survival swim lessons, and proactive prevention resources.
Our organization was founded in honor of Kendall Blanc, who tragically lost her life in a drowning accident in her family’s backyard swimming pool in June 2019. What began as unimaginable loss has become a lifelong mission to protect children and support families through education, awareness, and action.
Drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1–4.
This is not a rare occurrence — and it is often preventable.
Our mission is simple but urgent:
To reduce childhood drowning by empowering families with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to keep children safe in and around water.
We believe prevention starts with education — teaching self-rescue skills, reinforcing layers of protection, and ensuring families understand the real risks and real solutions.

A Message From Our Founders
In the months following Kendall gaining her angel wings, we were consumed with one question: Why? The heartbreaking truth is, we will never know.
So we chose to ask a different question:
How can we prevent another family from experiencing this pain?
The hardest reality to face is that Kendall’s loss was preventable.
Since that moment, we have committed our lives to educating families about the importance of water safety, survival swim skills, and the protective barriers that save lives. These conversations are not always easy, but they are necessary.
If you were given the knowledge and steps that could help protect your child’s life, wouldn’t you listen? We know we would.
Drowning remains the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4. But together, through education and awareness, we can change that.
Join us. Help us change this statistic.
