Our Why: Kendall’s Story
Kendall spent two beautiful years bringing light and joy everywhere she went. She had the most contagious smile, loved to cuddle, and gave the tightest little hugs that made our hearts overflow. Our Kendall Bug especially loved the water and every moment she spent in it.
Sharing Kendall’s story is never easy. On June 22, 2019, Kendall gained her wings in a drowning accident in our backyard pool. In a single, unimaginable moment, our world was forever changed, a loss no parent should ever have to carry, yet one her mother lives with every day.
Kendall’s passing was heartbreaking, and it was also preventable. That truth is what fuels our mission. In honor of Kendall’s life and legacy, we are dedicated to educating families and providing access to life-saving water safety and self-rescue swim skills, especially the ability to float, breathe, and survive until help arrives.
We share her story so that other parents never have to know this pain, and so more children are given the chance to come home safely.
Survival Swim Lessons:
The Float Is the Foundation
We teach all children to float first—the most critical survival skill. Before advancing, every child learns how to:
Navigate water from various positions
Move to the surface
Roll onto their back
Maintain an independent float
As development allows, students progress to basic swim skills, rolling to float, breathing, and returning to swimming safely.

CPR & First Aid Training
for Families
We offer American Red Cross CPR & First Aid/AED training to empower families with life-saving skills — because prevention doesn’t stop at the pool.
PLATINUM:
$850
Covers all fees associated with booking and teaching 12 training classes per year.
GOLD:
$500
Covers 12 full scholarships for training individuals in a 2 year certificate through American Red Cross CR, First Aid & AED training.
SILVER:
$350
Covers training costs for 1 new American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Instructor

Join Us for the 5th Annual Kendall Bug 5K Walk & Run
Help us spread water safety awareness and drowning prevention education at our signature community event. The Kendall Bug 5K is a family-friendly walk and run where everyone is welcome—run, walk, or simply join in the fun. The event is stroller- and toddler-friendly, making it perfect for families of all ages.
In 2025, we were able to sponsor XX students through generous donations and our Founder Pay It Forward program. In 2026, our goal is to reach XXX attendees and expand our impact even further.
