Adaptive Aquatics

Inclusive Swim Lessons for Children

Adaptive Aquatics is thoughtfully designed for children of all ages with unique learning needs, including autism spectrum disorder, neurodiverse conditions, physical differences, or heightened anxiety related to water. This program is also a supportive option for children and families who have experienced a previous water-related incident or traumatic event, either personally or within their family.

Lessons are highly individualized, patient, and child-led, with a strong focus on building comfort, trust, and safety in the water at a pace that feels right for each swimmer.

Cost:

  • Individual Lessons Cost: $60/lesson

  • Package of 8 Lessons: $440 (Save $40!)

Our goal is not just to teach swim skills, but to help children — and parents — feel calm, confident, and supported around water.

Drowning is Preventable

Adding layers of protection is vital in preventing childhood drowning

CONSTANT SUPERVISION: Stay within arm’s reach, use touch supervision, “It's not a lack of supervision, it’s a LAPSE in supervision that puts children at risk

WATER WATCHER: Designate a water watcher, free of all distractions

FENCES WITH SELF-LATCHING GATE: install a Fence around the pool, self self-latching gate is best

ALARMS & LOCKS: Install high locks and alarms on all doors and windows. Consider additional alarms, such as pool surface alarms and immersion alarms

PET DOORS: remove all pet doors

REMOVE TEMPTATION: remove all pool toys when not in use & never leave furniture or items your child can climb on and over the fence

LEARN CPR: You can find a class online!

ALWAYS CHECK THE POOL FIRST IF YOUR CHILD IS MISSING: DON’T WASTE PRECIOUS TIME

SURVIVAL SWIM LESSONS:  What would happen should your child get through each of the layers of prevention? Provide them with Survival Swim Skills!
